Message from the Finance Officer

The Finance Department is run by the Finance Officer and other 2 staff.The Department is basically entrusted with the responsibility of handling the finances of the Institute in liaison with the institute Chief Finance Officer (The C.E.O) who is the institute Principal.

The Finance Department Members are:-

  • Linet Mwongela – Finance Officer
  • Stephen Kyalo – Assistant Finance Officer
  • Peter Maingi  – Accounts Clerk

The core functions of the department include implementing the institution’s financial policies and procedures, financial reporting, systems control and assist in risk management, facilitating audits, and implementing tax obligations and other legal aspects and enhancement of corporate ethics so as to satisfy all stakeholders through transparency and accountability among other functions.

To achieve great results, the department upholds to the institute Mission and Vision.The department observe professional ethics in all its dealings that include:-

  • Professionalism -demonstrating pride in work and maintaining high standards of professional competence
  • Accountability – Ensures accountability of the institute finances at all times that goes all the way in reflecting a true and fair Position of the institute financials..
  • Excellence – The Finance Officer upholds to orientation for excellent performance    within the department.
  • Teamwork- The finance Department uphold into this important tool in all its departmental operations. This enables each and every staff member in the department to Learn, flourish, discover new concepts from colleagues with different experiences and above all achieve departmental growth in terms of department work operations and success.
  • Confidentiality –As a tool to achieve great success in the Department each and every finance department staff is required to uphold and observe confidentiality at all times in all the dealings in the finance department as part of professional ethics requirement.

In observation and adherence to the above departmental values, it us enabled the department to implement its duties and obligations more effectively and achieve great levels of efficiency.
